Sculptures and woven works will hang from the roof and walls at the Corner Store Gallery this weekend as part of the exhibition Periderm, which features works by Christine Appleby.

The Canberra-based artist, recently graduated with first-class honours from Australian National University School of Art and Design and one of her lecturers will open the exhibition on Friday at 6pm.
Gallery owner Madi Young-Holborow said Ms Appleby won the people's choice award when she first exhibited at the gallery during the Insider Outsider Sculpture Prize, which was hosted by the gallery and Small Acres Cyder in 2017.
She said Ms Appleby explores the possibilities and inventive process of weaving and used a loom to create her works for the exhibition.
Periderm is Ms Appleby's first solo exhibition at the gallery.
According to a post on the gallery's website, Ms Appleby's "work reveals a randomness, an unsophisticated organisation and a degree of ambiguity".
The exhibition will be open throughout the long weekend and Ms Appleby will be present on Sunday and Monday.
The Corner Store Gallery was established in 2014 and has been providing artists and designers from all over Australia with a beautiful space to showcase their work and ideas for over five years.
