President Andre White said the women's community group formed in Orange as part of the Smith Family.
The club's name stands for Voice, Interests and Education of Women.
Through its support of The Smith Family, the club helps children in need while also being a social outlet for the members.
We support them right through university if they stay at school
- President Andre White
"We work in conjunction with the Smith Family, our funds go to Learning for Life program," Mrs White said.
She said the program helped disadvantaged children by paying for them to continue their education right through to the end of their education.
"We support them right through university if they stay at school," Mrs White said.
"One of our young girls who we've been supporting for quite a number of years now ,she's going on to year 12, it's just wonderful to see these students progress."
She said without the club's money to buy educational supplies or pay for excursions and other educational needs, many of the students involved in the program wouldn't complete their education.
Mrs White said Orange Day VIEW Club support three students, but didn't know who they were or where they were from.
"We send them a birthday card and Christmas card, all contact goes through head office," she said.
While some clubs do fundraising Mrs White said the Orange club has an older membership so raised money for the program through donations at its monthly meeting.
Each of those meetings includes a guest speaker.
"Usually it's people from the area and district, we had Housing Plus last month," Mrs White said.
She said there were about 60 members of the club, which formed its Orange branch in 1969 and while she's been attending for 35 years some members have been attending for 40 years.
"Upstairs we celebrated we had a lovely meal and entertainment," Mrs White said.
The Orange Day VIEW Club meets on the last Friday of the month at Orange Ex-Services' Club at 11.30am with the meeting to start at noon.
