Surveyors will be working on the side of the road and at property accesses along the Mitchell Highway at Vittoria from Monday.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Friday and between 8am and 1pm on Saturdays.
The project is expected to be completed in six weeks, weather permitting.
Changed traffic conditions including reduced speed limits may be in place during work hours for the safety of workers and road users.
A spokesperson for NSW Roads and Maritime Services says motorists should plan their trips, allow extra travel time, and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
"Roads and Maritime Services thanks motorists for their patience during this time," the spokesperson said.
