Adrian John Bunn, 28, of Elliott Close, was driving a white Hyundai Excel when he was spotted by police on McLachlan Street at 1.40am on September 12, 2018.
Police saw Bunn in the driver's seat and wanted to stop the car however when they conducted a u-turn he rapidly sped up McLachlan Street and did not stop despite the lights and sirens.
At the sports ground Bunn drove through two steel bollards onto a footpath that ran between houses.
According to police, Bunn reached speeds of 90km/h on McLachlan Street then reached speeds of up to 130km/h in the 80km/h zone on Leeds Parade.
Although he slowed down to turn onto the Northern Distributor Road he again sped up to speeds of between 90km/h and 110km/h before turning onto Telopea Way and driving through the athletics ground at Waratah Sports Ground.

Police ended to pursuit but found the car parked on Young Street and impounded it.
Bunn was nominated as the driver and on September 19 police caught him driving an unregistered white Mazda sedan, which had a number plate that was altered with black electrical tape.
Magistrate Brian Van Zuylen gave Bunn a total jail sentence of 18 months with a 12-month non-parole period dating from April 26, 2019, to April 25, 2020, for the police pursuit and two counts of driving while his driver's licence was disqualified.
He also convicted Bunn without further penalty for driving an unregistered, uninsured car and for the altered number plate.
Mr Van Zuylen also convicted Bunn without further penalty for failing to appear in court on March 15 despite his bail requirements.
For a separate matter he convicted Bunn for having possession of a gold ring with two sharp prongs that was deemed an offensive implement. He also revoked a community correction order and gave Bunn a concurrent jail sentence for breaching a two-year order he was given in December 2018 for assaulting a man.
