The eastbound truck took down a power pole as it rolled just past Railway Parade, bringing down wires and creating an extra hazard in the area.
A Facebook post from NSW Police said the truck driver was returning to Sydney from Blayney with a load of pet food. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
MAP: Where the incident has occurred ...
Emergency services, incident response crews and power company personnel attended the crash scene and heavy vehicles were being parked up beside the highway.
The NSW Traffic Management Centre says a heavy vehicle tow truck is on its way to the scene to assist with the truck recovery operation.
"Traffic is heavy in both directions with queues of around three kilometres," a statement from TMC said.
"Motorists should either avoid the area or allow plenty of extra travel time because of the delays."
Alternating (stop/slow) traffic flows are currently in place and motorists are advised to consider taking the Bells Line of Road to avoid the area.
