A video posted to social media, which has since been removed, shows dozens of people becoming involved in a rolling maul which veered from one side of the hotel's second-storey room to the other before finishing on the stairway.
Punches were thrown across the four-minute video but most of the brouhaha was restrained to pushing and tackling.
Central West Police District inspector Peter Atkins confirmed police attended the venue in response to the incident.
"Police were called to the venue around closing time [3am]," Inspector Atkins said.
"We have commenced investigations into a number of alleged assaults in relation to that incidents."
Inspector Atkins said those investigations were still ongoing, but no one had yet been charged over melee.
