The Salvation Army volunteers will hit the streets from Friday afternoon, continuing their door-knock fundraiser on Saturday and Sunday.
More than 300 collectors will take part in the drive, which raises funds to support families doing it tough in the Central West.
Salvation Army Captain Tahlia Grounds said $58,000 was donated in Orange this time last year.
She said the Orange branch hoped to take it to $60,000 this year.
Students from James Sheahan Catholic High School, Canobolas Rural Technology High School, Orange Christian School, Orange High School, Orange Anglican Grammar School, Kinross Wolaroi School, Molong Central School and Blayney High School will all take part in the march.
Anyone who is interested in volunteering this weekend can get in touch with the Salvation Army by emailing: tahlia.grounds@aue.salvationarmy.org or call 0402 583 364.
