Mr Molan, father of rugby league personality Erin Molan, was an incumbent Senator, but listed at the unwinnable fourth position on the Liberal-National ticket.
He will need 150,000 votes to be elected.
Orange's Sharyn Aiken was at the Bletchington booth on Saturday showing voters how to vote below the line for Senator Molan.
He's been great in the Senate for the past two years - he's not just an army general, he's a diplomat.

"He's been great in the Senate for the past two years - he's not just an army general, he's a diplomat," she said.
"He was going to run for Eden-Monaro in the lower house but decided not to."
Ms Aiken, formerly from Sydney, had been a Liberal Party member before moving to Orange where she briefly became a Nationals member before becoming disillusioned with the major parties.
She said with the retirement of Nationals Senator John Williams and Liberals taking the two top positions on the ticket, regional representation was at risk.
"Farmers haven't got a champion," she said.
The Nationals launched a late campaign to vote for their candidates, Perin Davey and Bathurst's Sam Farraway, below the line.
