As of Monday, 23,881 people had cast an early vote in pre-polling centres located in Orange, Bathurst, Lithgow, Mudgee and Dubbo.

This represents a 38.8 per cent increase on the 17,201 people who had cast their vote by the Monday before the 2016 federal election.

The early voting centre in Orange recorded 7233 votes by Monday however Bathurst has received the most votes so far with 8323.

This was followed by , Mudgee with 4345 and Lithgow with 3615 votes.

By comparison, the Parkes electorate has also recorded a surge in early voters, with 14,487 cast so far which is a 21.7 per cent increase on the 11,899 made by the Monday before the 2016 election.
