Orange Thunder girls' coach Joel Begnell said the competition was helping the club's players make incredible leaps and bounds in its first season.
"We've had a good first year and it's shown a big improvement in our juniors. This year we had the most players picked in Hunter-Western Hornets squads ever and we put a lot of that down to the Vawdon Cup," Begnell said.
"We're very excited [to be back], laid the groundwork in our first season last year and we're glad to see it happen again."
The Vawdon Cup's Youth League - which is an under-17s competition - begins on August 23 and finishes on October 13, with three weeks of finals to follow.
