Team 1 Keegan snuck home against Team 3 Doucas with wins for Jesse Keegan, Chris Doucas, Steve Elliot, John Hannan, Albert Cavalli, Troy Seers, Kial Huysmans and Chris Elkington, who beat an energetic Darren Wooding while Lyle Davis was feasting on humble pie after comfortably losing to the man he said he would never lose to again in Matt Wilson.
Team 2 Baker beat Team 6 Garton with wins for Glenn Atkinson, Scott Baker, Nathan Garton, Peter Hanlon, Kym Knight, Brock 'the cannon' Gannon, Steve Blackwood and Jarrod Collett won a classic in five, while in the battle of the siblings local dentist Lindsay Mahlo upset his future aeronautical expert brother Morgan Mahlo in five games

Team 5 Abberton luckily beat Team 4 Clarkstone with wins for the pest you can't exterminate Grant Michell, George Eleftheriou, Michael Abberton, Lawry Brayne, Craig Hausler, Judd Felsher and Harvey Wilson.
Jackie Kirk hung to beat David Neil after three hours on court while in a contrast of styles the fit, energetic Pat Clarkstone outlasted the crafty, not-so-fit Peter Brearley after five cracking games.
