Mr Tandang will perform as part of Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer on June 1, taking on a solo routine to a Bruno Mars medley.
He decided to take part after his mother was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year.
"It wasn't cancerous, but if it had been, the Cancer Council would have been something we looked to," he said.
