During parliamentary question time, member for Orange Phil Donato asked the Premier when the funds for the project - slated for a site near the Northern Distributor Road - would be forthcoming.

"On February 6 this year, whilst you were in Orange, you committed to building a $25 million multipurpose sporting precinct," Mr Donato said.

"When can the people of Orange expect this to be delivered?"

Ms Berejiklian said questions over the provision of the funds would be answered on Tuesday, June 18, when treasurer Dominic Perrottet will hand down his third budget.

"I wish to assure the member for Orange that the NSW Liberals and Nationals government will commit to delivering all our election commitments," she said.

"All members should look forward to the budget papers to see the timeline for when those commitments will be delivered."

Her response marks the second time in little more than a month the government has declined to make a concrete commitment to fund the project.

Ms Berejiklian first floated the funding during a campaign visit to the city, her offer drawing fire for its condition it would only be honoured should Nationals candidate Kate Hazelton prevail at the election.

On Sunday, March 24 - the day after Mr Donato's vastly increased majority put paid the Coalition's hopes of recapturing the seat - the Central Western Daily asked Ms Berejiklian's office if the freshly re-elected Liberals-Nationals government would commit to building the facility.

"The government will continue working with Orange City Council on local infrastructure needs, which will be considered in the context of this year's budget," its reply read.

Ms Berejiklian initially used Mr Donato's question on Thursday as an opportunity to attack the opposition for its underwhelming election result in Orange.

"Can I start by congratulating the member on his reelection. He has a very healthy primary vote, comparing very favourably to the Labor Party, which got 10 per cent of the primary vote," she said.
