Orange Show Society President Peter Naylor said for the first time attendees can catch one-man comedy act Troppo Bob, a Zumba demonstration and new rides from the Sydney Royal Show.
He said the Naylor Pavilion has been set up to provide families with little ones a place to sit down and observe the performances, such as the Brophy Bros Circus.
There'll be plenty of chances to catch the circus too, with performances on Saturday at midday, 3pm, 5pm, 6.15pm and 8pm, as well as circus performances on Sunday at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm.
Mr Naylor said the agriculture pavilion was attracting high-quality stock this year, as drought had caused many farmers to sell everything but.
"Unfortunately many have only kept their breeding stock and they're bringing them along because they want to support their local shows," he said.
More than 300 chooks will go before the judges and caged birds have traveled as far as Canberra to be part of the competition.
Adults tickets are $15, pensioners and children 5-12-years-old pay $8 and under five-years old are free. A family ticket will cost $40.
