A former pub, a noted author, a forgotten council chambers and house restoration projects across Orange will be celebrated at this year's Orange Cultural Heritage Awards ceremony.

The nominations for various heritage categories have been revealed ahead of the Orange City Council's awards night in the Dalton Room at Duntryleague from 5.30pm-7.30pm on Friday.
People were able to self-nominate their home or work or, with the owner's approval, nominate another building.
There are nine categories including restoring a heritage residential building, reusing an existing building, best treatment of a commercial building, improvements to parks and gardens and best individual or group heritage contribution.
About 21 houses have been nominated in the residential section including 31 Dora Street, the former East Orange council chambers.
Work to convert the former Carrington Hotel on the corner of Byng Street and Lords Place into offices for LiveBetter has been nominated in the business category.
Author Robert Bartlett has been nominated for his book Orange in Pictures-2.
