CYMS BLUE
CYMS Tilston's Plasterboard Blue team took to the field for the first time on Saturday afternoon.
After training was washed out, it was the first time the team had been together this year but encouragingly they hit the ground running.
Toby Holmes made it back from a previous game in Bathurst, and was strong down the flank from the start.
He was ably supported by Calvin Musendeki, Tonderai Rukundu who both had strong shots on goal. Zavier Felice made some impressive saves at goalkeeper while Lachlan Turner, Kennedy Shephard and Cooper Woods were able to bring the ball back up the field.
The first wave of subs brought on Jordan Robinson who made big runs with the ball straight away, and newcomers to the club Sam Wallace and Bayden Ruddy, with the former scoring a great goal.
The game opened up a little bit in the second half with goals being scored by Zavier who had moved up the field, Calvin and Kennedy.
Coach Martin was impressed by the players passing and positional skills, especially in the second half. Kennedy Shepherd was named player-of-the-week.

CYMS SILVER
CYMS Silver had a great first game against Waratah Jets on Saturday.
Everyone was really keen for the new season. Player of the Week was Austin Macdouall with Matt Crump getting the Superstar trophy for his three goals.
Toby Dickinson was our other dual goal scorer. Zander Hainsworth and Xavier Sherwood were awesome as goalies performing some great saves.
Some inspiring runs were made by Charlie Isaacs, Coahan Kaufman and Lucius Burke, with great defence provided by Jacob Ferry and Albie Robinson. The team really worked well together and had a great time.
Thanks to coach Andrew and Waratahs Early Learning Centre for their sponsorship.

RUGBY UNION
ORANGE CITY LIONS
UNDER 7
What a great start to the season. In the first game of the day the under 7's took on the combined Millthorpe-Cowra side, who came out strong.
But it didn't take long for the little Lions to find their rhythm. Brothers Oliver C and Oscar C came out firing both scoring fabulous tries. Troy D shined with him marvelous side step to get some great clear runs gaining lots of metres. Harry F was a little rocket, managing to gain great metres and some great hit ups.
In the second game against Molong Addy W was in spectacular form, sneaking down the side line for a wonderful try. Newcomer Jack G may be small on size, but he doesn't lack any enthusiasm or skill, making massive try saving touches.
Through tough defence Toby B managed to streak down the side line for a try. Known for his hard work and determination, George H made plenty of great touches and formed a strong defensive line.
In the third game against Forbes it didn't take long for Lucus C to find the try line for the first of his four five-pointers. Forbes responded with some great tries through the game, but still full of energy Tully C was managing to chase them down and make some great touches.
With a sneaky reputation for sliding down the side line, Tobie H managed to gain valuable metres for the team. The whole team had a wonderful day and no doubt will have a wonderful season ahead.

UNDER 11
The Orange City PJL under 11s were back into it again on Sunday with Orange Emus hosting the first gala day of the year. The weather was perfect for Rugby with the boys set for a challenging day coming up against three Emus sides.
Leading the boys out this week was Charlie Miller and he didn't disappoint, leading by example with great runs up the field and strong defence.
The forwards were consistent with plenty of damaging runs from Bryn Whittaker, Jackson Davis, Mitch Duncan and Beau Jeffery. Throughout the day, hard work at the break down from Henry Heath, Heath Vaughan, Caleb Anthony, Clyde Locke and Cooper Honeysett allowed try scoring machine Oliver Schofield to split the opposition running in numerous tries.
When the Emus boys turned it on, it was the backs that had to step it up in defence and their was some great dedication shown from William Wythes, Harry Miller, Emerson Page and Archie Adamson that would cut them down.
Good quick darts from the back of the ruck from Mortimer Hamling, Noah Warren, and Edward Ashton opened up the opposition to allow Leo Vaughan to find some room to make some very valuable meters.
The players of the day went to Jackson Sawyer and Lachlan Godson for their consitancy around the park, putting in 110 per cent.
It was great to see the boys play as a complete unit and looks like we're in for an exciting year.

UNDER 13
With the bare minimum 15, there was no time to rest for Orange City's Chemmart under 13s on Saturday morning, playing a 23-man Emus outfit.
Emus came out strong with a couple of quick tries, which didn't sit well with Alex O'Brien and Charlie Poole, who both executed brilliant tackles to stop extra points going on the board.
Zac Shannon and Dominic Segger were slippery in their runs, and Jamie Adams proved tricky for the Emus to pin down.
James Walker seemed to touch the clouds in the lineouts, and both Harrison Wood and Madison Fuller pushed though the Emus Pack whenever they had the ball.
Jasmine Anthony proved how deserving she was of her two points with her strong runs, and it wasn't long until Brody Duncan surged though a mountain of defence to cross the line on the right side of the posts.
The difficult angle was no problem for Lachlan Newman, the ball flying over the horizontal, half-time score 22-7 to Emus.
The Lions came out with determination after the half-time break, Trixie Ward stubbornly pushing through the opposition, with Alexa-McKinnon Braid and Ilka Gordon guarding the lines when required.
Koby Bryan was perfect in his flanker position, winning balls and getting it away to his teammates.
Another try to Duncan and successful conversion by Newman saw the final result 36-14.
Congratulations to Emus on the win and thank-you for your sportsmanship in lending a player. The Lions look forward to the rematch later in the season.

UNDER 17
Orange City's Woodward Street Quality Meats under 17s travelled to Dubbo this week, with Roos starting the game strong scoring three tries in the first 10 minutes after some hard worked at breakdown by forwards, the game started to steady and a tough contest was seen between the two teams.
Just before half time Nick O'Hara barged through Dubbo's defence to score a try and Harry West converted the goal.
Orange City started stronger in the second half and were consistently playing in Dubbo's half, after some good ball movement from the backline, Jarryd Walmsley picked up a ball from back of the ruck and stepped his way through Dubbo's defence to score.
Not long after Sam Woodhouse drove his way over Dubbo's line to score. The boys continued to work hard and were unlucky on few occasions not to score.

ORANGE EMUS
WALLAS
The Benchmark under 7s, Toby Tancred Solicitors under 9s and Zylem under 11s were all in action at Endeavour Oval on Sunday morning, for the first Central West Junior Rugby Union Wallas Gala Day of 2019.
They all did their absolute best and produced some excellent performances, proving why the future of our club is in great hands.
UNDER 13s
The mighty John Cook Real Estate under 13s continued their spectacular, early-season run with a strong win over Orange City, in a hard-fought game played in great spirits.
Ben Taylor scored a double in the 36-14 victory while Thomas O'Brien, Ryder Arden, Jack Holland and Harry Brazier all found their way over the line too, with Dan Ritchie kicking three conversions.
Orange City had just 15 players on the day and their effort should be commended, they showed great determination throughout the game, our boys look forward to the rematch.
UNDER 15s
Despite putting their best foot forward the Canobolas Glass under 15s were bested by a very strong Forbes Platypi side on the road at Grinsted Oval.
Emus kept up with Forbes in the opening half, restricting them to three tries and having a few chances themselves, before the Platypi ran away with the game after the break to win 48-nil.
UNDER 17s
Following the school holiday break the Farmgate Butchery under 17s travelled to Grinsted Oval to take on a powerful Forbes outfit, which proved too good on the day.
The Platypi ran in four tries to Emus' one to eventually win a physical clash 29-7.
