Hailing from Southern California, Mr Allensworth has made the journey to Australia to launch his latest album 'Albumsworth' with shows and festivals from the East Coast to the Central West.
Mr Allensworth take inspiration from the soul tradition of James Brown, Otis Redding, and Curtis Mayfield, with an added psychedelic twist.
'No song should last much more than two minutes' was the initial idea for Allensworth's new Album, and it was recorded over three late night sessions at Lovestreet Studios on Queensland's Gold Coast.
The two-minute rule stood true for a few tracks, while others lengthened and evolved with the album.
Jamie Allensworth and band will perform at The Victoria Hotel at 7pm on May 9, with $20 on the door.
They will perform at The Agrestic Grocer at 7pm on May 10, with $25 tickets available online at: www.theagresticgrocer.com.au
