Black Magic Opal x Lemon Tree Girl greyhound Road Travelled ($2 favourite) bolted out of the boxes in Monday's Ladbrokes Daily Video 1-2 Wins Stakes (520 metres) and extended his lead with every bound.
Career win number three was as easy as they come for Road Travelled who finished a stunning 15.25 lengths clear of nearest challenger Georgette ($4.40) in a time of 29.83 seconds.
Road Travelled, trained by Mary Hughes and owned by her and husband Glen McKinley, looked a picture of excellence in his first start back over the 500m in nine starts.
"He's been a dog that's shown a lot of promise and he's part of a very good litter. There's Ombre Rose, Ransom The Opal and Magic Begins, just to name a few," McKinley said.
"He's had a few issues but back to the 500m now he should continue to improve. He's only two years and one month so he's a very young dog. We started them at 17 months so it feels like they've already been around a long time.
"He's still learning and is a bit of a nervous dog. We'll keep him at the 500m. The 29.83 today is a very good time."
Road Travelled crossed to the rail ahead of Timetable on the opening turn and from there the result never looked in doubt, finding win number two at Bathurst.
Gary's Gift ($3.30) finished a head behind Georgette in the scrap for second.
