Owner of the Metropolitan Hotel and recently elected chairman of the Orange Liquor Accord, Mark Murphy, said most pubs will wait until the 11am service in Robertson Park is over before pouring the first beer and most will wrap-up not to long after their two-up games are over.

He said it's voluntary for pubs and clubs to reduce their hours and all members of the accord will work together to make it a safe and fun day.

While most pubs will wait until the men and women gathered at the Cenotaph begin their march to the Ex-Services' Club at around 11:30am, for those people with the day off work, it is still possible to get a breakfast beer.

The Great Western Hotel will open its doors from 6am and The Lord Anson is taking bookings for eggs and bacon from the same time.
