Michael Alexander Flanagan, 42, of Currong Crescent, was arrested for assaulting a police officer when he became confrontational after officers arrived on March 8.
He was convicted in Orange Local Court and magistrate Jacqueline Trad gave him a 12-month conditional release order.
"There not being a physical assault, it is of the lower level of objective seriousness," she said.

"Members of the police like other members of the community have the right to go about their day without fear of assault."
According to police, officers were called to attend Currong Crescent about 9.14pm and Flanagan was confrontational to responding police and when he was asked what happened he said, "we called the f***ing police, f***ing shoot me c***, pepper spray me c***, I don't give a f*** mate".
He was arrested after appearing to reach towards a senior constable's taser.
Solicitor Neil Jones said Flanagan's record had a "break for many many years" before the March offence.
Mr Jones said at the time Flanagan had been made redundant from work and was going through a relationship breakdown.
"He freaked out he thought 'I just got my licence and I shouldn't have two passengers'.

"My client was the one who called police, there was a three-hour delay before police were able to respond," Mr Jones said.
"He started drinking heavily before police arrived."
In another court matter, teenager was convicted after becoming involved in a police pursuit on the day he got his provisional driver's licence.
The teenager's driver's licence was also disqualified for 12 months and leading up to his court appearance, he paid more than $600 in impounding fees.
He said it was a stupid mistake and all he could do was to say sorry, he said sorry to the police, he said sorry to me and he said sorry to his mother.

Solicitor Justine Ringbauer said the 17-year-old boy fled police because he had two people in his car.
"He freaked out he thought 'I just got my licence and I shouldn't have two passengers'," she said.
"He said it was a stupid mistake and all he could do was to say sorry, he said sorry to the police, he said sorry to me and he said sorry to his mother."
For another driving matter, Rodney Frazer, 30, of Canobolas Road has been convicted and his driver's licence was disqualified for three months for low-range drink-driving.
Frazer was caught at 12.37am on November 2 after police saw him driving over the 50km/h speed limit in Spring Street.
According to police, when he was stopped, he said "I'm f***ed, I have been drinking. My last one was only 15 minutes or so ago."
He said he had 10 alcoholic drinks between 4.20pm and 12.20am and under breath analysis at 1.07am, he returned a reading of 0.079.
