Members of the Come Together Choir sang a blessing at Tuesday's Orange City Council meeting after music director Donna Riles urged councillors to ensure a past delegation to the federal government was not in vain.

She reiterated the former Plymouth Brethren church in Hill Street was deteriorating, with inadequate toilets, rehearsal and teaching space, heating, hospitality facilities and green rooms for visiting artists.
"We are almost at breaking point," she said.
"Recent concerts have sold out and we've had to turn away guests at the door."
Mayor Reg Kidd assured the conservatorium members in attendance the project still held the council's support, but nothing further was resolved at the meeting.
