Still buzzing from their 56-nil, round one win over Cowra-Canowindra seven days earlier, Orange City's Chemmart under 13s made the journey to Mudgee's home at Jubilee Oval to face the Wombats on Saturday.
Brilliant passing from Temana Te Rupe, Hayden Buesnel and Dominic Segger kept the ball moving from kick-off and Harrison Kukla flew over the line early, crossing for the first of his opening-stanza hat-trick - incredibly he ended up with a whopping haul of five tries in the game.
Koby Bryan flew high in the lineouts, pinching plenty of ball, and Jasmine Anthony and Madison Fuller got through a mountain of defensive work, which their Lions turned into attacking pressure.
Two successful conversions from the boots of Angus Tremain and Andrew Ingham helped give the Lions the edge at half-time, with a 19-10 lead.
They quickly extended that five minutes into the second half, with great carries from Zac Shannon and Jamie Adams creating space for Ingham to cross the stripe.
The powerhouse front row of Alex O'Brien, Brody Duncan and Harrison Wood, supported by Darcy Harris, constantly pressured the Wombat's pack and dominated at scrum time.
A textbook catch and run by Tama Nixon from the kick-off set up another try for Kukla. Ilka Gordon and Alexa McKinnon-Braid stepped around the Wombats defence, and Trixie Ward protected the ball in every tackle.
A brilliant low tackle by James Walker stopped the Wombats on their way to the try line.
Manaia Nixon, urged on by the enthusiastic Lions supporters, pushed though for a try in only her second game of rugby.
Lachlan Newman positioned the ball perfectly to successfully convert at the 59-minute mark, securing the Lions' 41-15 victory.

UNDER 15s
After a first-up loss to Mudgee last weekend Orange City's under-15 outfit, the reigning premiers, roared back to the winners' circle at Pride Park on Saturday morning.
With a nine-tries-to-two performance the young Lions downed a gallant Wellington Redbacks side 53-10, with Jacob Wooding, Hugh Vaughan and Jack Gordon all scoring doubles in the 43-point triumph.
Playing flanker, prop and No.8 respectively, their braces were proof enough of the Lions' dominance through the forwards, with Wooding and Vaughan both crossing twice in the opening half.
Gordon also grabbed one five-pointer in the first stanza while Mitchell Layzell scored as well, Orange City leading 34-5 at the break.
Wellington fired back just after the break but the Lions' defence held thereafter, with Gordon scoring his second and Charlie Sutton and Luke McKinnon-Braid also crossed for second-half tries.
Ollie Connaughton nailed both his second-half shots at goal.
UNDER 17s
Orange City's Woodward Street Quality Meats under-17 outfit travelled to Mudgee last weekend, the Lions taking on the Wombats at their Jubilee Oval base.
Mudgee started the game strongly by scoring two early tries, but Orange City steadied the ship with some strong defence from Sam Woodhouse, Thomas Bray, Benji Moloney and Oscar Watson.
After some strong carries from Oscar Ward, Jack Nunn and Henry Bracey the Lions mounted pressure on the Wombats' line, with Rohan Bouffler taking advantage to barge through for a try after some good lead-up work at the breakdown from Charlie Harris, Case Fabar and Bill Meacham.
Harry West and Sean Carpenter worked well in halves which allowed the outside backs Harry Grant, Henry Bouffler and Blair Ward to continually attack Mudgee's defence with strong runs.
The defensive efforts from William Burdack, Lewis Dean and Lance Milne were excellent while Tom Francis, Andrew Romano and Rohan Bouffler were dominant on both sides of the ball throughout the game, the latter was rewarded with his second try of the game after crashing through the Wombats' line.
After a great contest, the final score finished 27-12 in Mudgee's favour.

ORANGE EMUS
UNDER 13s GREEN
Orange Emus Green continued their sterling start to the Central West Junior Rugby Union under-13 competition on Saturday morning, scoring a 56-nil win over Dubbo Kangaroos Red to back up their 69-12 over the same club's Blue side from the week before.
Once again rolling out at Endeavour Oval, the greens' attacking play proved the real highlight in the victory, with Patrick Toberty and Jack Holland both scoring hat-tricks to continue their point-scoring ways, while Ryder Arden, Jack Tink, Gus Cornish, Rawiri Wilton, Ben Taylor and Levi Poihakena-Jackson all crossed the stripe as well.
UNDER 13s WHITE
A three-try performance from fullback Jack Garlick inspired Orange Emus White to their first win of the 2019 season on Saturday morning, the custodian running riot at Endeavour Oval to lead his side to a thrilling 34-31 win over Forbes.
The Platypi's performance was excellent too and it was as good a game of junior rugby as you'd ever hope to see, with the visitors leading 26-20 at the break before Emus Green came from behind in the second half.
Garlick scored two of his tries in the opening half before crossing for the first of the second period, kick-starting Emus' resurgence. He kicked a conversion too in the second half, finishing with an impressive, 17-point individual haul.
Sam Taylor and Dan Ritchie also scored first-half tries, while Daniel Vaotangi's 46th-minute five-pointer ultimately sealed the three-point win.
UNDER 15s
After their round one clash the week prior was called off after five minutes due to an unfortunate injury to a Dubbo Kangaroos Red player - we wish him all the best in his recovery - Orange Emus were keen to hit the paddock on Saturday.
They made the most of it too, thrilling the Endeavour Oval crowd to pile on eight tries to one and take down a fighting Cowra-Canowindra side 48-7.
Emus led 33-7 at the break before crossing for another three second-half tries.
UNDER 17s
Using the performances of their younger counterparts as inspiration, Orange Emus' under 17s produced a stirring effort to roll over Wellington and complete the club's cleansweep - or greensweep, in this case - on Saturday morning.
It was Emus' fourth win from four junior games that morning, marking the first greensweep at Endeavour Oval in at least the last five years.
In a tit-for-tat affair the two sides traded tries in the opening half, with Emus leading 12-10 at the half-time break thanks to a Jake Ritchie double, with Ben Norris' conversion the difference between the two outfits.
Again the two sides traded tries early in the second half, with Wellington leading 22-17 before Harry Taylor' converted try gave the hosts a 24-22 lead at the 49-minute mark.
Both sides fought bravely for the final 10 minutes, with Will Waddell's last-minute try capping Emus' 31-22 victory.
