One which raises funds for children in need to boot.
The camel races will return to Towac Park on Easter Sunday, with a seven-race program and a host of off-track entertainment to keep families from suffering from the public holiday boredom blues.
There will be food and market stalls, as well as camel rides, jumping castles and other kids rides, face painting and more. There will also be a full bar service in operation.
On the track, the feature event will be the Give Me 5 For Kids Cup, with the Give Me 5 For Kids Saucer another sought-after prize by the 'cameleers'.
This will be the fifth year Orange has held this event, and given the growing interest with each passing year organisers are anticipating a massive crowd on the day.
Coordinated by the Lions Club, all funds raised from the event will go to Give Me 5 For Kids, which has been raising funds for children's hospital wards in regional Australia for 25 years.
The animals and their riders and handlers will take what has become something of a time-honoured route to Towac Park, stopping at Forbes on Good Friday for that city's traditional race meeting.
This will be the fifth year Orange has held this event, and given the growing interest with each passing year organisers are anticipating a massive crowd on the day.
The racecourse's gates will open at 9am, with the first group of camels and their riders to leave the barriers at 10am.
Entry costs $10 for adults and $5 for pensioners, while children under 16 who are accompanied by an adult are permitted free entry.
