Orange Health Service is throwing open its doors to prospective volunteers to give them the chance to go behind the scenes and learn more about different roles filled by those who give up their time to help patients at the hospital.
Health Councillor Christine Hannus said volunteers at the hospital help contribute to a "better patient experience" in many aspects.
"Some of the roles include the volunteer way finders program, where a volunteer meets and greets people coming into the Hospital and help them locate the service they are here for," she said.
"Another is the blue ladies and men's program where volunteers support patients that may need washing done while in hospital and helps the clinical staff in preparing clinical stock packs.
"These are just a few of the volunteer opportunities that will be explained on Monday afternoon."
Anyone interested in knowing more is invited to meet in the front foyer near reception for a behind the scenes tour to start at 5:00 pm on Monday.
