Wendy Driscoll joined the weekend of wining and dining for the eighth year.

"Orange is really nice, I've become really friendly with the FOOD week organisers and it's like going to visit friends," she said.

"I bring friends along sometimes but I'm on my own this time."

While the group has secured tickets to the sold-out Forage event on Saturday, for those with a tighter budget the final two days of FOOD Week still offers plenty of options.

On Saturday morning the Orange Farmers Market will be held at Northcourt, with a gold coin donation all that's required to check out the fresh produce and see a demonstration from author Sophie Hansen between 8.30am and 12pm. Later that day, the Sculpture in an Orange Garden exhibition in just $10, with kids permitted to enter for free anytime between 10am and 4.30pm. Between 11am and 4pm Taste Wine, Picnic in the Gardens, Croquet and Lawn Games will be held at Patina Wines at 109 Summerhill Lane, with no cost for entry.

On Sunday, the headline act will be the Producers Brunch and Market, but there will be other budget-conscious choices on the festival's last day. The Sassy Vineyard Walk comes at a cost of just $15, the 90-minute jaunt commencing at 10am.

The Sculpture in an Orange Garden will open for the same times as Saturday, as will the Patina Wines event.
