Mullion Creek Public School's year four class found a sweet way to support the region's homeless recently.
The six young people held a smoothie fundraiser to raise money for Street Swags.
Through the efforts of the students the Brisbane based organisation will be able to purchase two swags to provide warmth and shelter for people who find themselves without a place to sleep.
Student Connor Gillard pitched the idea to staff and the his classmates, Jack Peters, Ryan Brooking, Madwick Smee, William Whiteley and Bridgette Porter.
Street Swags is currently seeking donations for its winter appeal.
So far the Mullion Creek students are one of 246 groups who have helped the tally reach $26,305 towards a $100,000 target.
