For pilots the Balloon Challenge is about soaring above the ground and friendly competition, but for the thousands of people in the crowd, the Balloon Glow and Night Markets are the must see event of the festival. Last year saw over 10,000 people in the crowd witness the amazing spectacle of balloons lighting up the night sky at the Balloon Glow and this year promises an absolute sensory extravaganza.
The hard working team have been busy creating an amazing experience that offers something for everyone. The Night Markets are back again with a wide range of crafts, collectibles and goods while the food and wine stalls are the perfect way to sample the delicious treats that local chefs and wineries have to offer.

There will be entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening with talented performers including the Alikinetic dance group showing their moves, and musical acts Amitie, Eagle and the Wolf, and Kristen Lee Morris set to keep the crowd entertained until the evenings close.
The highlight of the evening, the Balloon Glow, is a magical experience where people will get to see the hot-air balloons light up their burners in sync to music, creating a spectacular view for those lucky enough to attend. There will be plenty of opportunities for the crowd to get involved and once again glow sticks will be on sale enabling everyone to contribute to the nights glowing effort. The Balloon Glow will be held on Saturday, April 27 with tickets available online at Eventbrite or at the gate. Admission is $30 for adults with those under 18 free.
