She's no stranger to triumph in the pool at Adelaide having claimed back-to-back gold medals at the Pacific School Games two years ago and the 17-year-old, who trialled for last year's Commonwealth Games outfit, continued her that success last weekend.
The Orange Christian School star, also a former Jets Swim Club prodigy, earned a podium finish in the women's 100-metre breaststroke event on Sunday afternoon.
After ranking 19th in the preliminaries with a time of 1.12.13 she qualifed for the B final, where she shaved almost a full second off her time to finish second and claim the silver medal, clocking 1.11.28.
She finished second to 2018 Australian Youth Olympic Games superstar Chelsea Hodges, who sped to the gold medal in 1.08.38 while Anna Monaghan rounded out the top three by claiming bronze, she was a tick over a second further back from Nobbs.
Nobbs also swam well in her 200-metre preliminary race as well, ranking 21st in a time of 2.39.44.
World Championship breaststroker Jenna Strauch was the fastest qualifier in the 200-metre stakes, in 2.28.02.
The finals for that event were scheduled for late Wednesday afternoon, with the championships continuing on Thursday and Friday as well.
