A MAN was denied bail in Orange Local Court on Tuesday for a raft of charges after he allegedly threatened a woman with a knife and stole a car.

According to police, the 35-year-old went to a Summer Street residence on Sunday, where he threatened a woman with a 20-centimetre knife in a domestic violence-related incident. There were seven children in the residence at the time.
The man then allegedly stole a vehicle from the property, and was located and arrested at NAB on Monday.
The man was charged with a number of offences including common assault, entering a dwelling with intent, being armed with the intent to commit an indictable offence, stalking and intimidating with an intention to cause fear, aggravated break and enter with intent, taking and driving a conveyance without the consent of the owner, and resisting a police officer in the execution of their duty.
He will re-appear in court on Monday to enter a plea.
In an unrelated matter a 22-year-old woman was on Monday charged with breaching an apprehended violence order and malicious damage.
