This year, despite not being among those who will take to the dance floor for the annual gala event, Mr Snowden will once again turn to a distinctly un-vegetarian option to help out the Cancer Council's cause.
At 6am on Friday he will be manning a barbecue grill outside the Robin Hood Hotel for the first in a series of breakfasts aimed at raising funds.

Bacon and egg rolls at $5 a pop and a selection of drinks, including coffees from the Coffee Just Rocks cart, will hopefully help supplement the money raised by the individuals and teams slated to dance on Saturday, June 1.
Mr Snowden will be at the Orange Function Centre on the night, too, but in an adjudication capacity, having signed on to help judge the evening's 11 amateur acts.
Two years ago he performed to music (and in a costume inspired) by Lady Gaga, and was crowned that edition's highest fundraiser.
At the time Mr Snowden said "a big chunk" of the $14,400 he raised came from meat raffles, and in that same spirit he was more than happy to grab a set of tongs in the coming months and pitch in for a cause which "impacts us all".
"I just wanted to help raise some money, so if you're hungry or just want to donate come down to the Hood before 9am," he said.
Tickets for the gala performance evening, which include a three-course dinner and entertainment, are now on sale online at www.123tix.com.au.
