That was until Saturday morning when, in the name of charity, he decided to give anyone and everyone a chance to buy a wax strip and let loose on his body.
All money raised from the waxing - at $20 a pop - went towards the One Strength gym's Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer's fundraising tally.
While the pain was obvious, according to Mr Davis it was "worth every cent" to raise $900 on top of the $3000 already raised by the team for the June 1 event.

"Along the top of my neck the pain was about an eleven-teen out of 10. I'm now silky-smooth," Mr Davis said.
His sister Charatie was one of the first to get in on the action, saying it felt good to inflict some pain on her brother as revenge for "some of the chicken wings and stuff" she'd copped from him.
However, she was proud of Mr Davis for stepping up for a good cause.
"They've raised so much money and are so passionate about it," she said.
