According to a market posted by betting agency sportsbet, Shooters, Fishers and Farmers party member Mr Donato is a $1.25 chance of winning the seat in Saturday's state election.
His nearest rival is Nationals candidate Kate Hazelton, who is paying $3.50 to return the seat to the Coalition, while the rest of the field is rated no better than a $24 prospect of prevailing.
In Bathurst incumbent Nationals MP Paul Toole, who has held the seat for the past eight years, was listed as a $1.18 chance while Labor, represented by police prosecutor Beau Riley, was rated a $3.75 show.
