The year eight horse-lover has been selected to ride in the Australian Interschool Championships after a stand out performance at the state level.
Darcey competed in the Dressage, Show Horse and Combined Training events during the five-day event at Sydney International Equestrian Centre this month.
The top four performers in each event will go on to represent their school and state in the national competition.
In the lead up, Darcey will continue her routine of rushing home to Cudal after school to the family's 17 horses to put in the training.
She said she doesn't get too nervous for the dressage or show events, but competing in jumping is a different story "because of the height."
This is not the first time Darcey has been chosen for a prestigious event recently, the young star who has the Olympics in her sights was chosen to represent the Australian Pony Club at an event in China last year.
A final date for the Australian Interschool Championships has not been set, but it will take place in September or October.
