High-energy bhungara dance group, Varis Punjab De Canberra, will be the feature performers at this year's event, which will feature the music and dance of the Punjab region in northern India.

The food and festivities will come together at South Court, behind the library building, between 4pm-8pm on Saturday.

Musical and other performances on the day will include an Indigenous dance performance, Orange Tribal Fusion, and Indonesian dance demonstration, Samantha Bartholomeusz and Kate Rose offering a chilled Jazz session, and the Canobolas Pipe Band.

Food choices on the day will come from across the globe, and include Indigenous fare like crocodile, emu ad Kangaroo, Japanese dumplings, Indian butter chicken, rice and other delicacies, Sri Lankan Biryani, Cambodian Spring rolls and rice paper rolls, and Indonesian spicy skewers.

The event will also include free craft activities and jumping castle for children.

Orange mayor Reg Kid welcomed the staging of this year's event.

"Harmony Day is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our diverse community in Orange, bringing people from all cultures and communities together in celebration and mutual understanding," Cr Reg Kidd said.

"It's all about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians regardless of cultural or language background."

The event is supported by Orange City Council, Orange CultureHub and Multicultural NSW.
