ORANGE Ex-Services' Club may be asked to contribute to a second indoor pool at Orange Aquatic Centre and a decade's worth of maintenance in response to its intention to close its own pool.
Councillor Glenn Taylor, who has already announced his intention to stand for the board if the situation is not resolved, will move a late item at Tuesday's council meeting asking the club to reconsider its decision due to the demand on the aquatic centre.
If the decision stands, Cr Taylor will ask for the contribution to more facilities.
"The pool at Fitness Perfection closed in recent times so we've gone from three pools to one," he said.

While the club had been in talks with the council about relocating swim classes to the aquatic centre, Cr Taylor said he would have acted already had councillors been informed.
