All five women from the Orange office coloured their hair for the day at a barbecue event held in honor of the humans resource officer's decision to get a new look to support the charity.
"Jo has a skin cancer on top of her head and since she has to shave the area, she has decided to do the whole lot," Ms Joyce's fundraiser page says.
GB Auto director Fay Bensley cut off Ms Joyce's first plait which was donated to Sustainable Hair Salons.
The organisation collects ponytails and distributes them to charities and wig-makers where they can become wigs for those suffering from medically-induced hair-loss conditions.
Friends and family of GB Auto helped get the donation tally to more than $3200 online, with an extra $200 in cash collected at the barbecue on Thursday.
More than 200,000 people have taken part in the event since it began 21 years ago.
