AN 18-year-old man has been charged with being in possession of firearms and cannabis plants.

Police executed a search warrant at a home on Tuesday, finding four cannabis plants, firearms and ammunition.
The man was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant, possessing a shortened firearm without authority, two counts of possessing unregistered firearms, and not keeping a firearm safely.
He will appear before Orange Local Court on April 15.
Another man was arrested by Orange police after being found in possession of copper piping they believe had been stolen.
The 23-year-old was on Monday charged with having goods in personal custody that were suspected of being stolen, and will appear before Orange Local Court on April 29.
In an unrelated incident, police are investigating a break and enter on Sale Street between 12am on Monday and 5am on Tuesday, where a handbag, wallet, cash and keys were taken.
