Hundreds of children gathered on the school oval at Kinross Wolaroi School for its year 11 student's annual World's Greatest Shave fundraiser.

There was 12 brave students who went home with a fresh haircut for Autumn, including Dempsey Bryant, Erin Bracks and Adelaide Gavin.
Erin Bracks was among the three girls who came to school with hair past their shoulders on Wednesday and went home with a number two.

She said she was feeling a little bit nervous ahead of the shave but had been driven to raise the $1900 for the people she knew who'd had cancer.
"I've seen how hard it is and I really wanted to support them," she said.
Nicholas Keirle's friends and family helped him raise $1600 through a donations page on Facebook.
Oliver Kairaitis said a bit of competition between the students and other schools had helped get his total to more than $1800 for blood cancer.
Joshua Dominello, Hugh McIntyre, Joe Priest, Nicholas Rasmussen and Hunter Rose also took part in the fundraiser but attended a sports event on Wednesday.
