Club CEO Daniel Perkiss announced the decision on Tuesday, saying the pool and its facilities would close from Monday April 29.
Mr Perkiss said it was due to extensive operating costs, ageing plant and equipment and supervision requirements including having to provide trained lifeguards.
Swimming lessons will be transferred to the Orange Aquatic Centre while season ticket holders would be refunded on a pro rata basis.
"We have consulted with staff and there will be a transition and redeployment period. There will be no job losses due to this decision," he said.
Swimming instructors at the club will be invited to talk to the Aquatic Centre about relocating to meet the demand for extra staff needed for its extra classes.
Mr Perkiss said the indoor pool was opened about 50 years ago.
There will be no job losses due to this decision.

"The public services and facilities landscape has changed," he said.
"Development of the state-of-the-art Orange Aquatic Centre now provides not only a much-needed service for the people of Orange, but also surpasses the limited facility the [Ex-Services'] club is in a position to provide," he said.
"We are carrying a considerable financial liability and ultimately we have an obligation to act on current concerns with the facility."
He said pool funding will be re-directed to the club's other sporting groups including lawn bowls, golf, tennis, football and hockey as well as to the CYMS and Hawks rugby league teams.
The club is "undecided" over what will happen to the the pool area.
Orange City Council director of community, recreation and cultural services Scott Maunder said there was room to expand the Aquatic Centre's Learn to Swim classes to accommodate children who had been doing classes at the club.
"We're confident we'll be in a position to meet the extra demand for classes by the state of Term 2, ensuring a smooth transition," he said.
