Those home truths are the basis of the promotional material behind a FOOD Week event which will aim to give back to the drought-stricken farmers who provide the festival's key ingredients.
Heifer Station Wines will join with The Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak, Groundstone Cafe and Southern Cross Austereo to host their third Feast for Farmers event between 12pm-5pm on Saturday, April 6.
Orange-based representatives from the NSW Farmers Association will be onsite to share statistics and stories with attendees on the impact the drought has on our local producers.
Tickets cost $159.34 and include bus transport to and from the event, six drinks, canape-style lunch by Groundstone Cafe, and a live auction and raffles, with all proceeds going to Rotary Club of Orange Day Break to distribute among farmers in need.
Guests will enjoy entertainment by musician Gabe Middleton in the afternoon, while a bar will be run in the bull paddock into the evening.
For further information regarding the event please contact cellardoor@heiferstation.com or call 0416 087 622.
