Despite being top of the wicket-takers list and second on the runs tally heading into Friday night's final, Broes isn't feeling the pressure to perform at all despite his break-out year and skipper Adam Ryan last week saying the young gun's performances are the new normal for St Pats. 

"I don't think about it too much, I do my own business. Some people come up to me and talk about it but I try and shut it out," Broes said. 

While his bat has done plenty of talking in the Bathurst District Cricket Association's first grade and other competitions around the region, Broes is especially happy with his bowling, which has snared him 10 wickets in five games. 

"I've put a lot of work into bowling, taken a few wickets, more than I thought but in Twenty20 it's easy to take a few wickets because they just try and take after you and get a lot of catches in the deep," he said.

"I've been working hard this year so it's nice to see results come from it."

The young all-rounder is buoyed by the fact he has so much support in a star-studded St Pats lineup, with Jameel Qureshi and Adam Ryan provided experienced heads while Tanvir Singh and left-arm opening quick Mitch Taylor are primed to star with the ball. 

"Mitch Taylor with the ball will hopefully get rid of Dave Boundy and back him in for a four-fa," he said.

While the Warriors did give St Pats a "touch-up" last time the two sides met, with Orange City coming away with a 12-run win, Broes said the club took a lot away from the loss. 

"We're feeling pretty good, we'll back our strengths and we feel we can beat any team at any time with the calibre of players we've got," he said. 

"Ed Morrish obviously bowled really well last time and sort of took us apart so we're looking to nullify his influience with the ball and try to get through his four overs.

"With the bat they've got Dave Boundy but he's the sort of player that can take it away from you in the first six."

Regardless of the outcome, Broes said the side is excited by what they've put together this season. 

"At the start of the competition we wanted to see how far we could go and to make it this far is great for the club," he said. 

The first ball will be bowled at Wade Park at 6.30pm.
