The Lachlan Regional Transport Committee which covers council areas including Cabonne and Blayney shires has put a list of topics to the Premier before the March 23 state election.
Spokesman Dennis Hughes said the railway line has been subject to several reports and $5 million funding had been committed.
"However, to date this project has not been progressed. The LRTC would like your party's position on the future development and operation of the [line]," he said.
Mr Hughes said the group also wanted to know if the $5 million contribution would still be honoured.
The railway line runs through Carcoar, Cowra and Young connecting the main western and southern railway lines.
