The Estivo Trio, which has performed worldwide and competed in some of the most esteemed chamber music competitions, consists of violinist Fox Chan, cellist Jonathan Békés and pianist Ying Ho.
As part of the visit, the trio will also present a masterclass to a group of young ORC musicians, ahead of the Saturday night show.
The students will have the chance to work closely with the professional musicians to learn chamber music skills.
The workshop, which is part of the ORC’s ongoing initiative to bring international level artists to work with local musicians, is free to the public for observation from 11am.
Offering opportunities to meet, study with and see these artists perform is an important and inspiring step in every student’s education
- James Buchanan
ORC events manager James Buchanan said bringing groups such as Estivo to Orange facilitates a connection between local audiences and new, exciting performers while also building connections between students and professional musicians.
"Orange music students strive, and often do go on to study at schools like the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, hoping one day to perform in groups such as the Estivo Trio," Mr Buchanan said.
"Offering opportunities to meet, study with and see these artists perform is an important and inspiring step in every student’s education - which the ORC is proud to enable."
Tickets for the evening show are through Eventbrite.
