On May 11 last year, 26-year-old Lisa Bermingham was driving on the Mid Western Highway towards Bathurst when she was struck by a seizure.
She was able to stop the car safely in the middle of the road before passing out. Her two young children, Levi and Ivy, were in the vehicle with her.
Three people went to her aid, performing CPR on her until an ambulance arrived. First taken to Bathurst hospital and placed on life support, Ms Bermingham was transferred to Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred hospital the next day, where she remained on life support.
On May 16 her mother and family were advised Lisa was brain dead.

Her aunt Mim Davies is organising the weekend's fundraiser for Levi and Ivy, and said there are loads of fun things planned for the big day.
"There'll be a jumping castle, raffles, sausage sizzle, face painting, animal balloons, air brush tattoos, psychic readings, lucky dips and much, much more," she said.
The event will run from 9am-2pm at Carcoar's Royal Hotel.
