According to police, William Kevin Beattie, 23, of The Escort Way, got into a physical confrontation at a hotel in Molong about 8.30pm on November 11.
He then left and was involved in other confrontations before he jumped the back fence and broke into a house in Bank Street through the back door.
Police said the female victim initially went to the back door when she heard him behind her house. She told him he had the wrong house and asked him to leave.

However, after she shut and locked the door, she went into a different part of the home but heard a loud bang and saw that Beattie had damaged the door and let himself in.
He said "you know who they are, and if they come in here, you know who they are, b****".
Beattie then grabbed the victim's arm and squeezed it, saying, "you know who they are, b****".
The victim managed to run to a neighbour's house and call police.
He wishes to apologise to the lady, it's a matter for her if she will accept it or even want to see him.
- Magistrate David Day
Beattie told police he had no recollection of the event and remembered leaving the pub and lying on a creek bank after drinking 10 schooners of beer.
During sentencing magistrate David Day said he was confronted and threatened by a man on his own property when he lived on the Central Coast - not long before he took up the Orange appointment - and he hoped Beattie was aware how terrified his victim would have been.
"He wishes to apologise to the lady, it's a matter for her if she will accept it or even want to see him," Mr Day said.
"There should be convictions for each matter."
Beattie was fined $330 for trespassing, he was given a 12-month supervised community correction order and 30 hours of community service for common assault, and a 12-month conditional release order for damaging the back door of the home.
Beattie was a self-employed carpenter and worked on the day of the offence before going to the hotel at 2pm.
