We're not ones for stuffing around, especially after having to look at numbers to assemble this side, so we're going to get straight into it.
Plenty of blokes could have made their way into the side, with special mention to Tanvir Singh who we desperately tried to find space for but just couldn't, but here we go - in batting order we present our Royal Hotel Cup Team of the Year.
Nic Broes - St Pats Old Boys
Brilliant Broes must surely be the frontrunner for the player of the tournament. The 18-year-old has 142 runs for the season from his four games, including two 50s at the top of the order for St Pats.
He has't hit them quickly, with a strike rate of just 110 and he hasn't hit a six for the tournament, but has anchored several innings for the Bathurst side.
If that wasn't enough, Broes also finished the regular season fifth in the bowling standings with six wickets, bowling 14 of a possible 16 overs for St Pats, before taking 4-12 and hitting 33 in the semi-final.
Dave Boundy - Orange City
While Broes has been the all-round package with the bat, the Warriors' Dave Boundy has the wood on the youngster with the bat, 51 runs ahead of him with the two tied on four games each. Boundy is averaging 64 and has hit 90 and 75 in two of his digs.
He's hitting form at the right end of the season, too, and he'll be the key for City in the final - if he lights it up they will go a long way to taking home the title, but if he doesn't they might be in trouble as Blake Weymouth is their next-best scorer with 63 runs for the season.
Mick Curtale - Centennials Bulls
Cowra-based Curtale has long been the bane of Royal Hotel Cup bowlers the region over, and on paper he made the defending champions look the scariest side in the competition.
However, it wasn't to be - Curtale averaged 28 from his five starts, but that he had five cracks at it meant his final tally for the season was at 140 runs with a high score of 55, but that score against Bathurst City in round four proved his place in this side - there's no-one quite like Curtale when he gets going.
He's still the competition leader for maximums, too - with eight sixes this season.
Ryan Kurtz - Cavaliers
The Kurtz Locker, the BratKurtz, Kurtzilla - Kurtzmania has hit the Central Western Daily sports desk and we love it. The Cavaliers jet has taken his game to a new level this season and outshone an already impressive Cavs batting line-up.
Despite a side including Doherty, Corben, Sellers, Ferguson and Cook, Kurtz has been The Man for Cavs this year with the bat, averaging 31.75 and hitting 127 runs from his four games, including a half-century.
Also working in his favour is legspin, which he can bowl quite handily. He's only bowled the three overs so far this season, but that's never stopped a selector based in Australia for picking someone based on being able to trundle down a few overs.
Besides, Kurtz literally has the runs on the board, unlike some Australian selections over the summer.
Shaun Grenfell - Orange City
The wily veteran made it impossibly to leave him out of this side after masterfully playing the numbers to end up with three not-out scores in the Royal Hotel Cup this season to boost his average above 50.
I mean granted, Grenfell also hit plenty of runs, including an unbeaten 35 and an unbeaten 70 in the semi-final, which clinched his spot in the team. If he can replicate either of those in the finals, the Warriors will go a long way to winning themselves their first flag since 2012/13.
Ben Mitchell - St Pat's Old Boys
He's good at cricket.
There's not much more to say, really. The all-rounder has hit 121 runs a the top of the order for St Pat's at an average of 40, while also holding by far the highest strike rate of any top-10 batter with 178.
He's in the middle order to add some firepower in those final few overs, in a Glenn Maxwell or James Faulkner-style 'The Finisher' role.
He's also good with ball in hand, too - while he hasn't taken many wickets or even bowled much this season, when he does, he doesn't go for many - such as his three overs for 12 runs against Orange City or his 1-10 against Kinross. Gives plenty of bowling depth to the side.
Matt Corben - Cavaliers (WK) ©
The obvious selection for the wicketkeepers' spot, and for the captaincy as well. Corben has skippered arguably the most impressive side of the competition and done so with aplomb.
His work behind the stumps is also exceptional, with two catches and a stumping the equal-most dismissals of anyone in the competition.
He hasn't had an exceptional tournament with bat in hand, but you only have to look at his other work this season for the Central West Wranglers to know he can suit Twenty20 to a tee, and he also scored 178 for Cavaliers in the ODCA first grade competition a few weeks ago.
Hugh Le Lievre - CYMS
The CYMS spearhead has been a crucial part of the side's lineup over the summer. Le Lievre ended up on top of the competition's wicket table at the end of the season despite playing only three of four possible games. He took nine wickets for the season at an average of just 7.67.
He was economical as well, conceding only 69 runs from his 12 overs in the tournament, which is only 5.75 runs an over for those as mathematically challenged as we are (we had to use a calculator).
Stu Naden - Orange City
You have to be phenomenal to worm your way into the team of the tournament from only two games, but that's exactly what the Warriors' marquee player has been.
Naden has bowled eight overs in the tournament for just 26 runs, taking five wickets in the process. He's only been needed once with the bat, but the wily all-rounder hit 25 at number three and is the X-factor for Orange City.
Edges out St Pats' Tanvir Singh by a whisker.
Mitch Black - Cavaliers
Black didn't finish the season in the top 10 of the Orange District Cricket Association's leaderboard, with his five wickets in the regular season at an average of 16.8 not looking incredibly flattering at first glance.
However, Black bowled the most over of anyone in the tournament, and the left-arm tweaker - who was often used early in the innings - kept his run rate at 5.25 and often tied up an end to allow his teammates to clean up from the other.
He's also handy with the bat - despite not having much chance to showcase that in the Cavaliers' side this season.
Fletcher Rose - Centrals
Speaking of young whippersnappers, Kinross-turned-Centrals young gun Fletcher Rose had a scintillating Royal Hotel Cup campaign, finishing the regular season with eight wickets and leading the way for Centrals with the ball.
He was also one of the most economical bowlers in the competition, going at only 4.08 runs per over and taking a wicket every nine deliveries.
Joey Coughlan - Bathurst City (12th man)
Despite adding to his very, very impressive portfolio of Central Western Daily photos of 'Joey Coughlan Being Absolutely Clean-Bowled, All Ends Up' this season, Coughlan made the Royal Hotel Cup a happy hunting ground in his three games for Bathurst City.
He hit 105 runs at 35 during the tournament, including a brilliant 72 in his side's upset win over Cavaliers in round five, with a very healthy run rate of 119.
Matt Findlay - Orange City (13th man)
What a game changer. The former Warriors skipper - who guided the side to the flag in 2012/13 - played just the one game this season, but what a game it was.
City knocked off heavyweights St Pats - who were looking unstoppable at the time - and that win was arguably off the back of this man's performance.
Slated in the order at number eight and not required, the maestro himself bowled one over, one no ball, one free hit, seven absolute pies, including one beamer that would have been another no ball if the batter hadn't charged him.
Oh, and he bowled St Pat's number 10 Martin Rudgley twice - once off the free hit, making a case to be the Central West's only specialist no-ball bowler.
If he could only hold the gun in a more comfortable position against my spine I'd be all for electing him mayor.
