Applications are open for the second round of the council's Community Assistance Program grants, which are designed to provide an ongoing or sustainable benefit to communities.
In order to be eligible for funding, applicants must be a not-for-profit organisation in the Cabonne local government area and be undertaking a project on non-commercial facilities.
Each project will be assessed on its merits and the relative benefit it will return to the community. Grants are provided on a 50-50 basis, but communities can provide their half of the funding through voluntary labour or in-kind contributions.
Requests for retrospective funding, administration costs and salaries will not be considered, and successful applicants must complete the approved project within six months of receiving the funding.
Applications close at 5pm on Friday, March 29.
Application forms and further details about the grants can be obtained by contacting the council’s grants officer Naomi Schroder on 6392 3200.
More information about the guidelines can be found at www.cabonne.nsw.gov.au.
