Orange artist Jenny Shea has loaned Orange City Council a dragon forged from recycled steel, which has been placed in the duck pond at the south-eastern corner of the park.
The piece took Mrs Shea two years to complete, and is made of scrap metal donated by TAFE Orange, PRJ and Industrial Light Beam.

Council staff and contractors spent Friday morning placing the sculpture in the pond.
