The Banjo Paterson Night Markets will feature 30 food and wine stallholders who will come together to create a communal picnic as the sun sets on the city.
Malaysian, Vietnamese and Indian will be among the cuisines on offer, alongside some of the best cheese, meats and fresh produce from around the region.
The Agrestic Grocer and Edwena Mitchell Catering will be among the 15 food stalls, with 15 of the most well-known winemakers from the region set up alongside them to sell their wares.
Badlands Brewery, Pioneer Brewing and The Beekeepers Inn will keep the beer drinkers happy and Small Acres Cyder will keep the cider drinkers hydrated.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by folk musicians Chloë and Jason Roweth, who have performed their unique combination of music, songs and poetry for more than 20 years.
Mrs Roweth said the duo draw their inspiration from the warmth of old-style bush entertainment and folklore.
She said their new and old Australian ballad and work songs, early country music, poetry, yarns, and dance tunes weaved together to carry forward many threads of the Australian tradition.
The Roweths' 11-year-old daughter, Megan Roweth, will join her parents in the park to perform a spoken word show with her father.
Having performed since she was just six years old, Miss Roweth has been booked for major folk festivals, won multiple awards for her reciting, and recorded an album of poetry.
Orange 360 general manager Caddie Marshall said the Friday night markets were about making the most of the final weeks of summer with live entertainment in the park.
With more than 3500 people throwing a gold coin in the Rotary Club of Orange donation bucket last year, Mrs Marshall said she expected Friday would draw a similarly large crowd.
"It's a beautiful night. It's that early twilight which is not too hot but there's still a warmth in the air," she said.
"Harvest has come early for our vignerons, so our wine season has started, there's a level of excitement."
The markets are held during the Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival, which takes place each February in Orange to coincide with the birth of the poet. The markets will begin the final weekend of the poetry celebration, which wraps up on Sunday.
The market will run from 5.30-8.30pm in the park.
