A group of 30 will now call Orange home, with 11 nurses filling positions at Bloomfield Hospital, 16 nurses and one midwife at the general hospital and two working across both campuses.
Evie Benson has moved from Sydney to spend six months working in mental health and six months working in general.
Mrs Benson said Orange was at the top of her list of eight preferences for hospital placement because of its mental health facilities.
I want to work in drug and alcohol long term so being part of such a progressive program will be beneficial for that.

Bloomfield is one of only two hospitals in the state which has an involuntary drug and alcohol intake program, which Mrs Benson said means people battling addiction can be admitted by authorities.
“I want to work in drug and alcohol long term so being part of such a progressive program will be beneficial for that,” she said.
Mrs Benson said she had no problem finding a property to rent and after three weeks of cooler-than-Sydney temperatures and no traffic, she could see herself staying in Orange once the 12 month placement was up.
Emma Denton moved from Nowra on Saturday to take one of the jobs at Bloomfield. She said skill development would be beneficial for all aspects of nursing which is what prompted her to apply.
